Migos have made new, free music a common occurrence over the last year, and they have done it once again today with the release of “Flexin.”
Infectious repetition is key for Migos’ success. It’s what made “Versace” the song to remix in summer 2013, and it has powered every hyped track the outfit have released since. “Flexin” offers one of the most memorable hooks so far in 2014, with a half-sung chorus that lends itself to endless repetition without being overly aggressive. Anything is possible as far as Migos in 2014. We can almost certainly expect a new mixtape, if not two, and maybe even an album announcement. Stay tuned for updates.
