The Republic of Wolves dominated the final weeks of 2013 here at Under The Gun with their stellar sophomore album, No Matter How Narrow, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that we’re equally excited about new music from Tigers On Trains. Though they have been fairly quiet since 2012’s Foundry, the indie folk duo, which consists of Republic of Wolves members Mason Maggio and Christian Van Deurs, are back this week with The Living Room Sessions, a new EP that was produced, mixed, and mastered by Ace Enders of The Early November.
The two songs on The Living Room Sessions are the full realization of the smooth, melodic direction that The Republic of Wolves took on Narrow. Maggio and Van Deurs once again prove to be incredibly versatile singers, incorporating their voices just as well with the acoustic guitars and lush arrangements found here as they do on the most intense Wolves tracks.
The Living Room Sessions is available now over at the duo’s Bandcamp page.
