Anberlin Recruit “Dream Team” For Final Album

To the great dismay of fans the world over, Anberlin announced earlier this month that 2014 would be their final year as a band. Fortunately, with plans to release one more album and tour the world again, the Florida band will not be going quietly. This morning, we got the first tidbit of information about the final Anberlin record. According to a tweet from the band’s account, “We have the dream team for this final album. Could not be more siked. AM.MG.AS.”

Now just who might those initials stand for?

Our best guess for “AM” is Aaron Marsh. The former Copeland frontman produced Felt, the debut album from Anberlin vocalist Stephen Christian’s side project, Anchor and Braille. “MG” and “AS” are quite likely Matt Goldman and Aaron Sprinkle, who have both worked with the band in the past. Goldman recorded the demos that resulted in Anberlin signing to Tooth and Nail Records, and Sprinkle has produced four of the band’s six full-lengths.

If our guesses are right, then the final Anberlin album is shaping up to be something really special.
