Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane proved his unique brand of comedy could work on film when Ted hit theaters, and later this year he aims to do it again when A Million Ways To Die In The West rolls into a theater near you.
Starring MacFarlane as extremely self-aware (and cowardly) farmer seemingly disgusted by his own time period, A Million Ways To Die In The West attempts to bring gut-busting comedy to the wild west on a scale not seen since Shanghai Noon. The first red band trailer found its way online this afternon and it offers up heaping doses of Family Guy like humor played out in the real world. There is gratuitous violence, profanity, sexual innuendo, prostitution, and oh yea – a handful of ways to die in the old west. You can view the trailer below.
In addition to MacFarlane and Theron, A Million Ways To Die In The West also features appearances from Liam Neeson, Sarah Silverman, Neil Patrick Harris, Amanda Seyfried, Giovanni Ribisi, and Hollywood Babble-On star Ralph Garman. The film opens nationwide May 30.
