The Flaming Lips’ Wayne Coyne Touring Record Stores With Life-Size Chocolate Skulls Holding Debut EP

It’s quite difficult to hear news from The Flaming Lips and be surprised that you’re surprised. Frontman Wayne Coyne is heading out to hit up record stores in America this month for a meet-and-greet where he can sign copies of The Flaming Lips’ ridiculous new release: a chocolate skull containing the reissue of the band’s debut EP.

The 12″ green vinyl will be held inside a “hand-crafted, custom-made… anatomically correct and life-sized” skull made up of “quite a substantial amount of high-quality, gourmet chocolate.” Also inside will be a special Golden Coin that can be used to go to any headlining Flaming Lips show. Classic [crazy] antics.
