Zac Efron Confirms ‘Star Wars’ Meeting

Ever since it was announced Star Wars was going to be back on the big screen, there has been just as much excitement as there has been fear. What would Disney do with the galaxy far, far away? Could there be hope with J.J. Abrams at the helm? Now people are leaning more towards fear since Zac Efron confirmed he did indeed chat with the producers of the film.

Efron simply said, “Yeah, I just went and met with them. So I don’t know. It would be cool. I love [the Star Wars movies], I love them, but… who knows?” That doesn’t sound like it’s neither here nor there, so we may be getting upset over nothing. Let’s hope so. I love Efron as much as the next girl, but does he belong in Star Wars – not at all. He should stay on the path that’s led him to movies like his upcoming one with Seth Rogen, Neighbors.

Michael B. Jordan, who happens to be co-starring alongside Efron in That Awkward Moment, has been confirmed as one of the many actors who’ve auditioned for a role in Episode VII. Benedict Cumberbatch has been linked to the film as well. It’s going to be interesting to see who they finally decide on as shooting is slated to start later this year.

Star Wars: Episode VII is scheduled to hit theaters December 18, 2015.
