“We named it ‘Bill Murray’ because we always pictured a sad Bill Murray for the visuals of that song. We want him to be in the music video.”
Phantogram’s Voices is near. The album drops on February 18 and following two stellar singles in “Fall In Love” and “Nothing But Trouble,” the NY synth-pop duo are now streaming what’s probably the best-titled track from the album, “Bill Murray.”
“Bill Murray” is a much sadder affair than the previous singles we’ve encountered even despite the buzzy synth-line making its way throughout. You can stream the track below, and here’s hoping that the almighty Murray gets wind of this and agrees to take part in the song’s visuals. I picture glorious slow-motion shots of Bill crying in his bedroom, looking at pictures of loved ones as he reminisces on the past.
You can still pre-order Voices here.
