With last year’s festival selling out in just 90 minutes, demand for the Sasquatch! Music Festival called for an expansion into a second weekend. But unlike Coachella or Austin City Limits, the two weekends of Sasquatch! feature completely different lineups, both of which were announced last night.
The Memorial Day weekend (May 23-25) lineup features OutKast, The National and Queens of the Stone Age in the headlining spots. OutKast should surprise no one, with this being roughly their 1000th festival gig since announcing their reunion a few weeks ago. The National and Queens of the Stone Age are more interesting choices given they typically play the 60-75 minute pre-headliner slot at these types of festivals, so it’s nice to see them make the well-deserved jump to the headliner level.
The added second weekend will take place on the 4th of July weekend and is topped by Soundgarden, Kraftwerk and New Order. Both lineup posters can be found after the jump, so let us know how you see them stacking up against one another.
