Stick To Your Guns To Begin Recording New Album

It has been nearly two years since Stick to Your Guns released their groundbreaking record DIAMOND, which humbly reminded us of the life-altering potential of the hardcore genre. Since the album’s debut, scores of devoted fans have anxiously been waiting on a follow-up, and it seems that the wait may almost be over.

Earlier in the day, STYG took to nearly every social media platform imaginable and announced that tomorrow (February 5) they will enter the studio to begin tracking what will be their fifth full-length release.

According to frontman and founder Jesse Barnett, this forthcoming effort, which will be produced by John Feldmann (The Used, Story of the Year), was inevitable:

“Personally this seems like the next logical step for our band. The five of us aren’t a group that has ever been ok with doing just enough or even entertain the thought of doing the same thing over and over again. We like to push ourselves. We like to ask ourselves, now what? What can we do to be better? With all of that being said, we are very excited about going into the studio with John. He has proven his expertise in punk music and that he takes bands and gets the absolute best out of them. I think I speak for all of us when I say the band that comes out of the studio will not be the same band going in. We will be bigger, faster, harder and more crushing. This is what we strive for and this is what John will help us achieve.”

Presently, additional details are scarce, but from all indications, this newest work has yet to receive a title or release date–keep your fingers crossed it will arrive sooner rather than later.
