La Dispute Stream New Song And Music Video

“For Mayor In Splitsville” is the second track released from La Dispute‘s upcoming album, Rooms of the House, and it offers the best look yet at the musical evolution of the Michigan quintet. The track shifts between the intensity of their beloved debut full-length and restraint previously found only on their experimental Here, Hear EPs. In the song’s quiet sections, Dreyer drops his characteristic yell to a simple, spoken monologue, making for one of the band’s most dynamic compositions yet. You can stream the song and its accompanying music video after the break and over at AV Club.

Rooms of the House is due out March 18 on Better Living Records, a new label founded by the members of La Dispute. You can pre-order the album right here. Besides the promise of new music from one of the most exciting bands in the post-hardcore scene, there’s another incentive for pre-ordering: A portion of the proceeds from the sales will be donated to charitable organizations, including 826 National, Girls Rock Camp Alliance, and Teen Cancer America.
