Morrissey Announces US Tour Dates

This is not a test. Morrissey is headed back to the US, and rumor has it there may even be a new album on the way.

Today, Morrissey surprised and delighted fans nationwide by announcing plans for a lengthy summer tour stretching coast to coast. The run will kickoff May 7 in California and wrap June 21 in New York City. You can view the full itinerary below.

For two of the dates, Morrissey will be joined by special guests: Tom Jones will open his May 10 show in Los Angeles, while Sir Cliff Richard will appear at the tour’s final performance in Brooklyn on June 21.

Tickets for every show go on sale next Friday, February 21.

There has been rumors circulating that Morrissey recently returned to the studio with hopes of finishing a follow-up to 2009’s Years Of Refusal. He’s made no announcement regarding a possible release date, but we are keeping our eyes and ears peeled for updates.
