Donovan Wolfington Stream New Song, EP Out April 8

The title of Donovan Wolfington‘s upcoming EP, Scary Stories You Tell In The Dark, may or may not be a reference to this iconic collection of short stories, but if the record is half as gripping and effective as the ghost stories that haunted my elementary school nights, then we might have something very special on our hands. Find out for yourself over at Noisey, where you can stream the first single from Scary Stories, titled “Keef Ripper.”

The song is short but sweet, landing somewhere between Joyce Manor and the organ-tinged emo of Dowsing, and I, for one, am looking forward to hearing the rest of the EP when it hits stores on April 8. The Louisiana band is working with Topshelf Records on the release. Preorders have yet to launch, but we’ll be sure to let you know when they do.

Following the EP release, the Donovan Wolfington will embark on a short tour that includes dates with Dowsing and Pope. Check out a poster for the tour after the break.
