After weeks of rumor and speculation, Lil Wayne has confirmed plans to release Tha Carter V later this year.

It has been a while since Lil Wayne graced us with a solo release, but May 5 Tha Carter V will allegedly see the light of day. I say allegedly because every single album or mixtape Wayne has released in the last five years has undergone one, if not several delays.

No music is available yet for Tha Carter V, but considering that Drake revealed the existence of the album earlier this month it’s likely we will see him contribute to the album. We will bring you more information on the mixtape and when we can expect music to begin surfacing as soon as additional details become available.
