UTG EXCLUSIVE: Bayside Acoustics: Part 1 – ‘Cult’

If you’re a fan of Bayside, you certainly know that their sixth studio album, Cult, dropped this Tuesday via Hopeless Records. Before embarking on a nationwide tour with support from Four Year Strong, Daylight and Mixtapes, the boys hosted a day of celebration on Long Island for their record release.

The first stop was at Looney Tunes CDs in West Babylon, NY, where UTG TV had previously sat down with Brandon Boyd, frontman of Incubus.

In honor of the release of the album, we are running a two-part feature cleverly titled, Bayside Acoustics. Part one features three acoustic tracks off of the new album. Part two, which will be released shortly, will include a few classic Bayside tracks.

Anthony Raneri and Jack O’Shea expressed their gratitude towards Looney Tunes for hosting the acoustic performance and autograph signing, noting that the independent record shop had stuck by their side since the release of Sirens and Condolences back in 2004.

After the in-store event, the band played a very intimate secret show at The Amityville Music Hall under the moniker of Caraboo, which can be linked to a viral campaign via YouTube, which you can see here.

Check out below to see Bayside’s acoustic renditions of “Time Has Come,” “Pigsty,” and “Transitive Property.”
