Lemmy Launches Motörhead Cruise: All Aboard the ‘Motörboat’!

Rock bands launching their own festival cruise isn’t exactly a fresh idea. KISS and Weezer have been doing it for years and Paramore’s “PARAHOY!” will set sail in just a few weeks — but none of these ships had Lemmy on board.

The appropriately named “Motörboat” will make its maiden voyage this fall, with dates and a full lineup of artists to be announced soon. Lemmy’s health has been a concern of late, but he must be feeling pretty well if he’s comfortable announcing such an undertaking. I have no idea what a ticket for something like this would cost, but we should all start saving our pennies. This is probably the best chance we’ll ever get of seeing Lemmy perform in his signature short shorts.
