Eminem And Rihanna Announce ‘The Monster Tour’

Eminem and Rihanna struck top 40 gold with the fall 2013 release of “The Monster,” and to this day it’s hard to listen to the radio for more than an hour without hearing at least a snippet of the Jon Bellion penned chorus being played. Now, in a move that is as surprising as it is logical (from a financial standpoint), Eminem and Rihanna have taken their partnership a step further and announced plans for a brief summer tour.

‘The Monster Tour’ will kickoff sometime this August and visit a grand total of three cities nationwide. Yes, only three. Why? We don’t know.

New York, Los Angeles, and Detroit are the lucky cities being blessed with performances from Rihanna and Eminem, but details regarding venues and ticket prices are still being kept under wraps. If we had to guess, our money would be on Madison Square Garden, Comerica Park, and the ever-popular Staples Center to host these shows.

“There are some shows coming up with Rihanna,” Eminem told XXL in the magazine’s latest issue. “It’s a three-city tour: New York, L.A., and Detroit coming in August. The Monster Tour.”

Eminem also shared the news on social media, tweeting “NYC/DET/LA this August with @Rihanna! #TheMonsterTour.”

“The Monster” was one of the lead singles off Eminem’s most recent release, The Marshall Mathers LP2. The Detroit native is currently on tour in Australia with J. Cole and has no additional touring plans at this time. We will bring you more information regarding ‘The Monster Tour’ as soon as additional details begin to surface.
