Since 2009, New Jersey’s Prawn have been churning out a steady stream of indie-tinged emo rock that should appeal to fans of A Great Big Pile of Leaves and Empire! Empire! (I Was a Lonely Estate) in equal measure. Most recently, Prawn was featured on a split EP with Illinois natives Joie de Vivre. One of the tracks from the split, “Why You Always Leave a Note,” was recently given the music video treatment, and you can view the results after the break.
When the members of Prawn aren’t dressing up in suits and diving into hot tubs, they’re piling into the van for a tour. The group will be on the road for nearly all of March, hitting cities in the midwest and eastern United States. Various dates will also include appearances by Special Explosion, You Blew It!, Joie de Vivre, and Old Gray.
