Kid Cudi Releases New Album, ‘Satellite Flight,’ Beyonce Style

When Kid Cudi told fans his highly-anticipated Satellite Flight EP had become a full-length album, many expected the album’s release to be delayed as a result of the extended track listing. Instead, Cudi surprised us all and dropped the album last night, without warning or promotion, Beyonce style.

Hitting iTunes at midnight, Satellite Flight: The Journey To Mother Moon is a 10-song space opus that harkens back to the experimental atmospherics of the Cleveland rapper’s early work. It’s the kind of laid back record that you can put on and vibe with – or nap to – that packs entrancing hooks in between larger-than-life production that deserves to be experienced through the best headphones at your disposal. You can stream the title track below.

If you love Kid Cudi there is absolutely no reason to sleep on this album. It’s different, but in a way that longtime Cudi fans will appreciate. Support experimental hip-hop.
