Rihanna is Making a Concept Album for Upcoming Animated Movie

Looks like Rihanna is ready to get her hands dirty working on a new animated film, and the best way to get involved is by creating a concept album. The news was announced by DreamWorks Animation’s chief Jeffrey Katzenberg during the company’s fourth quarter and full 2013 year earnings this past Tuesday.

The album, based on DreamWorks Animation’s cartoon Home due out this November, will contain some new songs which she performs in the film. Home is based on Adam Rex’s book The True Meaning of Smekday and features additional voice work by Jim Parsons, Jennifer Lopez, and Steve Martin. It’s directed by Tim Johnson (Antz, Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas, Over the Hedge).

We’re waiting on more news about Rihanna’s concept album, but until then we’ll wait for Home to come out on November 26 through 20th Century Fox.
