R. Kelly Announces ‘Black Panties’ Sequel Fittingly Titled ‘White Panties’

Oh, R. Kelly. You are truly one of a kind.

Speaking in a new interview with V Magazine, legendary crooner R. Kelly revealed that he is currently working on a follow-up to 2013’s Black Panties currently titled White Panties.

“…You can expect a whole other level,” says Kelly of the project.

Black Panties was not necessarily the biggest album of R. Kelly’s career, nor did it generate any major #1 singles, but the media blitz that followed its release was the kind of promotion and exposure that money simply cannot buy. With a handful of tracks referencing his ability to eat, fuck, kill, and otherwise crush female genitalia R. Kelly went from standing on just this of side obscurity to once again being thrust into the center of the urban music spotlight.

With all that in mind, it’s relatively easy to understand why Kelly would want to attempt a sequel as fast as possible.

No release date has been set for White Panties, but it’s not impossible to imagine the album arriving on shelves before the end of 2014 if Kelly already has a few tracks under his belt. We’ll bring you more information as soon as additional details become available.
