Stream Tycho’s Gorgeous New Album ‘Awake’ Now

Tycho is all you need to listen to if you want an uplifting score for your life. San Francisco’s Scott Hansen puts the pop in melodic post-rock and gives ambient music a face lift with his project Tycho. His new album, Awake, can now be streamed via NPR.

Awake is the follow-up to 2011’s Dive. If you’re a fan of Mogwai or the softer side of M83, give it a spin. Hansen knows how to craft music but for some reason is still underrated, or at least skimmed when it comes to popularity. Not only that, but he knows how to package his material. Check out the beautiful geometry set up on the CD release of Awake (which you can pre-order here) below.

Stream it over at NPR now and let us know what you think in the comment section!

Check out Asgeir, a young singer from Iceland that’s sure to raise your interest in 2014. His powerful lyrics combined with beautiful sounds form the most incredible music to the likes of Sigur ros. Check out his song King and Cross
