Adam McKay Says There Won’t Be An ‘Anchorman 3′

Those holding on to hope Anchorman would spawn a third, well in the words of “Adele Dazeem,” let it go. Adam McKay is sticking to his guns and assuring the world that Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues… Continued was the final one.

The longer version with a lot more jokes and raunchiness opened last weekend, and it’s the last time fans will see Ron Burgundy on the big screen. McKay told Empire, “It’s done,” adding, “It was great to do it and it was so fun to work with those guys again, but I think that’s it for Ron Burgundy.”

Although he’s through with Anchorman, McKay is sticking close to that era by remaking the ‘70s comedy Uptown Saturday Night with Will Smith.
