Vancouver punks White Lung continue their hot streak with new single “Drown With the Monster.” The new cut was released with an official video, a manic live performance of the track directed by Steven Andrew Garcia. Like all White Lung – last year’s “Blow It South” and 2012’s Sorry, for example – this cut is actively combative, all jagged edges, wild-eyed ferocity, and abrasive everything. Guitars shriek, drums pummel, and Mish Way refuses to blow dry her wounds.
“Drown With the Monster” is the first of two tracks off an upcoming 7″ of the same name, the second track bearing the appropriately menacing title “Snake Jaw.” It was also announced today that the band has signed with Domino, which will be releasing the 7″ on April 29.
