Sleeper Announce Debut LP Slated For Fall Release, Stream Two New Tracks

Before I began working for UTG, I wrote album reviews for my university’s student-run radio station, 90 FM. Aside from looking good on a resume, this pastime also allowed me the opportunity to become acquainted with a variety of indie acts that I normally would’ve overlooked.

Sleeper was one such act. Though I was assigned the outfit’s debut EP purely through dumb luck, I instantly fell in love with the lofty soundscapes crafted by Laguna Beach native Paul Olsen. Naturally, I was hungry for more, and spent the next year eagerly awaiting a follow-up that never came.

However, today I am pleased to report that my waiting seems to finally be over. Earlier this week, the good people over at Woods & Ether informed me that Sleeper’s debut LP, currently without a name, will be released at some point this coming fall. And if that wasn’t awesome enough, you can additionally stream two brand new tracks from the group, “Up” and “At The End Of The Day,” by following the jump below.

Whispy and intricate, Sleeper is an atmospheric experience in the same vein as Bon Iver, Arrange, and other similar acts. Check out these two newest offerings, and let UTG know what you think.
