A$AP Ferg Releases “Let It Go” Video

A$AP Ferg

A$AP Ferg continues the promotion for his 2013 debut album this weekend by releasing the official video for “Let It Go.”

The tale of a hood Terminator with a twist, the visuals for “Let It Go” finds a futuristic Ferg saving a beautiful lady from a gang of thugs who have constructed a hideout within a junkyard. It sounds high concept, but the execution is relatively lo-fi. You can view the clip below.

Ferg’s debut album left us wanting more, and not necessarily in the best way possible. He’s talented and the singles released are always fun, but too often Ferg’s obsession with channeling influences from 90s urban music icons prevents the Brooklyn rapper from furthering his own identity. “Let It Go” is an exception to this, and it’s nice to see the track given a proper promotional push.
