Have you heard of Zhu? No? They are only the hottest somebody who is choosing to remain nobody of the moment!

In all seriousness, Zhu is somewhat of an oddity in the digital age. After rising to viral music blog fame with a mashup/cover of Outkast and Maroon 5 titled “Moves Like Ms. Jackson,” the artist known as Zhu only revealed their identity after their debut track garnered over 100,000 plays (it’s now closing in on 300k). The name was followed by the debut of a second track, “Superfriends,” which has now been followed by an even better track known as “Faded.” You can stream the song below.

Don’t you feel a little bit better? The driving bass at the heart of “Faded” syncs up with your soul from the track’s opening moments and essentially thrusts you into a world of soothing atmospherics and melancholy lyricism. You want to dance as much as you want to take a long drive in the rain at night. Alone.

You cannot download “Faded” at this time, so the stream above is your only source of audio bliss for the time being. Zhu has been so mysterious about their plans for the future that absolutely no information exists regarding an album or EP release. We don’t even know how many people Zhu involves.
