ALBUM STREAM: I Am The Avalanche – ‘Wolverines’

Brooklyn New York’s I Am The Avalanche are scheduled to release their newest full-length, Wolverines, next week (March 18) through I Surrender Records, but as of this morning, you can stream the 10-track effort by heading over to Billboard.com.

Recorded at The Barber Shop Studio in Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey, this will be the group’s first album since 2011’s Avalanche United.

On this newest attempt, the four-piece has progressed their unique brand of gritty pop punk, resulting in a more structured, introspective final product. This is especially apparent on tracks like  “The Shape I’m In,” which tells the personal struggle of vocalist Vinnie Caruana following a life-altering spinal injury.

If you’re a fan, you can catch I Am The Avalanche as they tour in support of Wolverines throughout March and April; more on that here.
