Former New Found Glory Guitarist Steve Klein Arraigned On Multiple Felonies, Including Child Pornography

New Found Glory announced on Facebook December 12, 2013 that they had officially parted ways with guitarist and founding member Steve Klein. There had been rumors about the reason for the split ever since the announcement was made, but the band would only say that they no longer felt they could work together.

Today, Idobi Radio found out that the same day NFG announced the split Steve Klein was arraigned in a California court on charges of lewd conduct with a minor. He pled not guilty to multiple felony charges—two counts of lewd conduct with a minor under the age of 14, three counts of lewd conduct with a minor 14 or 15, one count of intent to commit lewd act with a minor, and one count of possession of child pornography. Klein was represented in court by Guy Galambos, a partner from the law firm of Stein, Casciola & Galambos.

Klein was not incarcerated at the time of his arraignment and will remain free until his next court date on March 20. New Found Glory have declined to comment further.

We cannot confirm that these two stories go hand in hand, but if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, then chances are a relative of Daffy and Scrooge McDuck may be in your sights. We’ll bring you more information as soon as additional details begin to surface.

This has absolutely nothing to do with the band. Your comment is purely ignorant.

  8. Tom Harding says:

I see people are already comparing what he’s ACCUSED of to what Ian Watkins was found GUILTY of. I’m not defending anyone here and obviously all sex crimes should carry a penalty, but there’s no way you can compare the two.

Unfortunately, since the Watkins case occured, NFG are going to be tarred with the media peado brush and it won’t be ignored as easily.

I just hope people think a little bit before throwing these comparisons around like nobody’s business.

If you’re taking your time to make usernames to post comments like this, you’ve got to find something to do with your free time. Try a book. I’ll back the other guys in NFG any day.
