Fucked Up Announce New Album, Stream New Track “Paper The House”

Canadian punks Fucked Up‘s 2011 LP David Comes to Life was one of the best reviewed records in recent memory and gave the band the rare sort of crossover success that allows such aggressive acts to play at major music festivals and grace the covers of mainstream music magazines like SPIN, who crowned David Comes to Life its #1 album of 2011. In the years since, the band has dialed back their workload a bit, touring more sparingly while continuing to release singles as part of their ongoing Zodiac Series.

But today, Fucked Up finally announced their fourth full-length record. And you know what? It’s all been worth it.

Glass Boys will be released on June 3, and, at just 10 tracks, should feature a much more punk rock runtime than the epic 78-minute David Comes to Life. Guitarist Mike Haliechuk tells Consequence of Sound the album is “a bit more chill and less OCD than the last record.” He added “there’s not a million riffs, it’s way drummier, and just feels way looser all around.” But why take his word for it when you can click on through and listen to the song for yourself?
