UTG PHOTOS: Demi Lovato’s Neon Lights Tour (3/13/14)

Under The Gun’s Head of Photography, Corbin Alvae, stopped over at The Palace in Auburn Hills, MI to catch the Neon Lights tour on March 13, 2014.

I decided to break my barriers and went to cover a different type of tour that has been hitting it off hard; the Neon Lights tour. Currently this tour is packed with lots and lots–and I mean LOTS–of extremely talented groups and individual artists. The tour itself brought along a guest host named Collins Key, who was a magician and was seen on America’s Got Talent. While Key kept the crowd all amped up during set changes to prepare everyone for what was to come, what made me extremely impressed was how interactive everything was, which made the tour even more fun to watch. Besides all the magic, let’s dive into these other fabulous groups that made up the Neon Lights Tour.

The tour kicked off with the super talented Fifth Harmony. If you’re not familiar with them, this group formed through the music competition called The X Factor and ever since has been making a nice impact within their genre. Recently headlining MTV’s “Artists To Watch” concert back in January, Fifth Harmony have proved to the world that you can be any age to live your dreams to the fullest and do what you love in life, and I see nothing but even more amazing things happening for them in the future.

Next up we had a British four-piece group called Little Mix. If you’re also unfamiliar with this group, these ladies were a part of the UK version of The X Factor, in which they took the crown in 2011. The group kicked their performance off with their title track off their newest album called Salute. Little Mix kept the momentum up with tons of energy with their dance numbers and their solid tracks. They are yet another group you will fall in love with, regardless of what you like, you’ll get into them quick.

Lastly, our headliner, the one and only Demi Lovato. I first remember coming across Demi back when I first saw that Disney movie called Camp Rock, and from there I personally got hooked onto how talented she is. Now seeing her live roughly 6 years later after Camp Rock came out, the amount she has grown as a musician is unbelievable. With her recent record release called DEMI, which is personally one of my favorite albums to jam during my studio photo sessions, Demi has put together a show that was meant for every single fan to walk out of the venue with nothing but smiles. Standing in my seat, just looking around and seeing the whole arena lit up with with her exclusive phone app for the tour and just hearing every fan singing along to her tracks was absolutely phenomenal. Demi herself definitely made a statement to let everyone know that she is here to stay as she put on a performance of a lifetime.

Overall, the Neon Lights tour is jam-packed with fun, magic, and lots of memories and I highly suggest making it out to one of the dates near you with your kids, boyfriend, girlfriend, best friends, or whomever and experience this tour in person. It doesn’t disappoint and I left the night with nothing but a memorable experience.
