Merge Records’ 25th Anniversary Festival Features Neutral Milk Hotel, Destroyer, and Lambchop

Merge Records is turning 25 this year, and to celebrate they’re gearing up to celebrate the proper way: by throwing their own festival in Carroboro this summer. Let the celebration begin.

The three-day festival will take place July 23-26 in the Merge Records’ own North Carolina. The event features a number of their past and present roster members, including Neutral Milk Hotel, Destroyer, Caribou, Wye Oak, Bob Mould, The Clientele, Ex-Hex, Lambchop (performing 2000’s Nixon in full), and more.

Full Festival Passes are $195 and will go on sale this Friday at 11 am EST here.

If that’s a bit too steep, hold out for single day tickets, which will be announced later. Considering Merge Records will be putting out special reissues and a subscription-based singles series this year to celebrate, too, you may want to save some money for those purchases as well.
