UTG Premiere: William Control – “Illuminator” (Lyric Video)

We have dedicated a lot of digital space to William Control over the last several years, and for good reason. We live in an age where most of the music making waves on blogs is only a slight variation of whatever was hot on the same blogs the week before, but that could not be further from the case with the music created by the former frontman of Aiden. His sound is one entirely his own, and if it’s influenced by anything it’s sex, coffee, literature, and cigarettes.

Today, UTG is thrilled to be assisting William Control in premiering the official lyric video for “Illuminator.” It’s the first single off the forthcoming album The Neuromancer, and having heard the record I can tell you it is a fitting track to transition fans from the sound of WC’s previous release to now. The video features footage from William’s recent touring efforts, both on stage and off. You can view the clip below.

The Neuromancer is another intoxicating chapter in the ever-twisting tale of William Control, and anyone who finds themselves falling for the song at the end of this post is sure to fall even harder for the album. If that immediate obsession overcomes you – and to be honest there is a good chance it might – then you must head to WC’s official store and pre-order The Neuromancer right away. We’ll post a full review of the album sometime next week.

William Control will soon embark on a nationwide tour with Combichrist. Click here for dates and ticket information.
