It’s been over 30 years since Cheech & Chong have been together in theaters, but that’s about to change because their new movie is in the works.
Will this next chapter in our favorite stoners’ lives be about the continuous legalization of pot? Well not exactly, Chong recently told Celeb Stoner, “We’ve had some preliminary meetings. It looks really good. It looks really funny. It will be about us going to a festival called the Burning Joint. All sorts of shenanigans happen. It’s going to be a lot of fun.”
The comedy duo are set to start filming this summer with director Jay Chandrasekhar who you may know for Beerfest and Super Troopers. While it’s been a few decades since Cheech & Chong’s Still Smokin, there’s no denying there’s a niche market out there that’ll eat smoke this one up when it drops.
