Family is a key topic of The Greatest Generation, the latest album from Philadelphia, PA pop punk forerunners The Wonder Years. From the stark resolve of “Madelyn” to the anxiety that comes with sick and aging relatives on “Dismantling Summer,” frontman Dan “Soupy” Campbell’s lyrics hit close to home in very real sense. The family theme continues in the new music video for the latter track, which you can check out after the break. The clip finds Campbell’s family going through a typical day with a bearded mannequin as his stand-in while he anxiously tries to get a hold of them.
The Wonder Years are currently in the midst The Greatest Generation World Tour. There are a few weeks left on the US leg, which features support from Fireworks, Real Friends, Citizen, and Modern Baseball. After that, The Wonder Years will head over to Europe with State Champs and A Loss For Words. Get all the details right here, and pick up a copy of The Greatest Generation from Hopeless Records.
