Watch Jake Johnson’s ‘Let’s Be Cops’ Trailer

Was there a lack of buddy cop movies in Hollywood? There must’ve been because Let’s Be Cops was made and the trailer is out now.

While it might not be as great as the 21 Jump Street reboot, it does star New Girl’s Jake Johnson and Damon Waynes Jr. so at least there’s already great chemistry between the two. They play two 30-somethings who haven’t yet reached their potential until one night when they hit up a costume party dressed as cops. Those pseudo uniforms unlock a cascade of good times for the guys, including hooking up with The Vampire Diaries’ Nina Dobrev.

The trailer does bring about some chuckles with a mention of Danny Glover, failed back flips and other senseless acts, but we’ll have to wait and see if the whole movie holds up when it opens August 13. You can check out the trailer for yourself after the jump.
