Hear Woodkid’s Sad Remix of Pharrell’s “Happy”

Leave it to the always brilliant Woodkid to turn Pharrell‘s “Happy” into a sad, sad song.

Woodkid, a Polish-born, French-raised musician known for his beautiful orchestral pop, took Grammy and Oscar nominated “Happy” and slowed it down into something similar to an Adele tear-jerker. Now filled with strings and solo piano, the song takes on new chords that work together to move your heart instead of your feet.

Considering Woodkid has also directed music videos for Katy Perry, Lana Del Rey, and Rihanna, it may be best that this remix doesn’t have accompanying footage. That could just make us cry.
