Firestarter Premiere New Song, “Woodlawn”

Firestarter might be most at home when they’re playing high-speed pop punk, but you’d never know it from “Woodlawn.” The Albany, New York band’s latest single finds frontman Matt LaPerche at his most vulnerable, crooning over a quiet electric guitar line. Fans of the quieter side of fellow pop punk acts like Real Friends and Knuckle Puck will find a lot to love in this tune, which you can stream over at AbsolutePunk.

“Woodlawn” will appear on Firestarter’s sophomore EP, Forget the Past, due out May 13. You can pre-order the six-song release over at the group’s Bandcamp page on CD or 10″ vinyl.

Beginning in late April, Firestarter will be touring the eastern half of the US with Post Season. Check out the dates after the break.
