Actor and stand-up comedian John Pinette has passed away.
According to a story on TMZ, Pinette was found in his Pittsburgh hotel room Saturday afternoon. He was 50 years old.
Foul play is not expected in the comedian’s death. No autopsy was performed.
A Boston native whose comedic skill took him around the world, Pinette was a rare talent on stage and a natural actor on screen. He’s perhaps best known on television for his role in the Seinfeld finale, but IMDB credits twenty-three roles, including a memorable turn in The Punisher (2004).
I’ll always remember Pinette for his comedy, which I have been enjoying the majority of my life. You can view his classic “Chinese Buffet” bit below.
Rest easy, John. You will be missed.
