Under The Gun photographer, Nick Karp, attended a house show on March 25 in Rochester, NY.
In the depths of a basement in the middle of Rochester, NY held a nit-pick community of kids waiting to see a punk show. Maybe it was the awkward jokes in between sets, or the relentless “selfying” with the bands, but you can tell that most of the attendees had a bond and a sense of camaraderie that is far beyond their mutual love of music.
Every local band was given the same amount of attention, and everyone stayed towards the end to watch Tiny Moving Parts play their first Rochester show ever. This is what a music scene is, and we should only hope that other music scenes should take note.
