Watch Chris Martin Develop Magical Powers In Coldplay’s New Video

On May 19, English indie rock giants Coldplay will release Ghost Stories, the follow-up to 2011’s Mylo Xyloto. The band recently premiered a music video for the first single from Ghost Stories, simply titled “Magic,” and you can check it out after the break.

The “Magic” video takes its title literally, casting frontman Chris Martin as an assistant in a magic act who falls for the lead performer and develops some truly magical skills in the process. The clip is shot in the style of classic silent films, with a black and white color scheme and title cards for dialogue.
