The Hood Pope has become a Dope Lord.
A$AP Ferg has been keeping fans on their toes with a slew of new freestyles in recent weeks, and last night he delivered once again with a new verse over “Move That Dope.” His ever-so-smooth Brooklyn flow pairs well with the trunk-rattling beat, not to mention the entrancing “Push It” sample whispering in between each bar, making for a two minute listening experience most fans won’t soon forget. If you recall, not long ago Ferg surprised everyone with a track inspired by a recent trip to Trinidad that was drenched in Caribbean influence. “Dope Lord” is a strong return to form, but I wouldn’t be surprise if the poppier side of Ferg showed itself again soon.
As for the A$AP Mob at large, their compilation album is due soon. Stay tuned.
