Linkin Park Reveal Artwork For ‘The Hunting Party,’ Album Out June 17

Last month, nu-metal champions Linkin Park released a single called “Guilty All the Same,” which features a guest spot from rapper Rakim, but their lips remained sealed about their upcoming sixth album. Yesterday, the band revealed in an interview with Noisey that the record is titled The Hunting Party, and it will be released through Warner Bros. Records on June 17.

In a subsequent interview with Rolling Stone, band member Mike Shinoda described The Hunting Party as “visceral.” Of the creative process, he said, “We need to weed out a lot of the soft, emo kind of approach to our music, and we need to weed out anything that feels aggressive for aggressive’s sake.” If you want a taste of the new album’s direction, you can see the album artwork and stream “Guilty All the Same” after the break.

Later this summer, you’ll be able to catch Linkin Park on the Carnivores tour with 30 Seconds To Mars and AFI. Those dates, along with Linkin Park’s upcoming European shows, can be found right here.
