Electronic musician Daphni (Dan Snaith of Caribou) and Canadian renaissance man Owen Pallett have collaborated on a split single, “Julia” b/w “Tiberius,” that’s up for streaming now via FACT. They’re exactly what you would imagine: dance-worthy tracks that progress somewhat slowly, intertwining Pallett’s violin beautifully and, at times, eerily. It’s exactly what we didn’t know we needed.
If you feel like lyric-less music just needs to be loud to be experienced properly, think again. Snaith tweeted some advice on how to listen the songs at their fullest. We vote follow his word.
Speakers that can reproduce bass frequencies recommended for listening to this lest you think there’s silence in the middle of the track.
