New ‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past’ Clip Gives Us X-Men In Action

Sunday night’s MTV Movie Awards gave us clips of a number of upcoming summer movies, including yet another clip showing off how the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past became the second most expensive film made by 20th Century Fox.

The one-minute clip, taken from the film’s opening sequence, has sentinels discovering a few of our beleaguered heroes, who immediately launch into a delightful power-using frenzy. We see a phasing Kitty Pryde (Ellen Page), an ice-surfing Bobby Drake (Shawn Ashmore), and a portal-popping Blink (Fan Bingbing), along with shots of Bishop (Omar Sy), Colossus (Daniel Cudmore), Sunspot (Adam Canto), and Warpath (Booboo Stewart).

The clip shows off numerous powers without getting too much into the actual battle it’s teasing, with sentinels taking a few shots without firing a few of their own off. It serves as a nice companion piece to the previous trailer, which featured much more exposition and a focus on the film’s five or six biggest players.

X-Men: Days of Future Past will open with its big cast and bigger special effects budget on May 23.
