Lawrence Arms Announce Midwest Tour Dates With The Copyrights, Sam Russo

2014 has already proven to be a good year for Lawrence Arms fans. The Chicago, Illinois-based punk band released Metropole, their first full-length in eight years, in January, and songs like “Seventeener (17th and 37th)” prove that they haven’t lost one bit of their spark. Today, the long-running trio announced plans for a short midwest tour just as summer is kicking into gear. Dates for the eight-show run can be found after the break.

The tour will start on May 29 in Minneapolis, MN and close out on June 7 with what is certain to be a wild hometown show at the Metro. Joining Lawrence Arms on all dates will be southern Illinois punks The Copyrights and English songsmith Sam Russo, who has recently toured with the likes of Masked Intruder and Elway.

Tickets for the tour go on sale next week, and you can pick up a copy of Metropole now from Epitaph Records.
