If I Ran The Zoo are a four piece metalcore outfit based out of Fargo, North Dakota. The band has been together since 2010, and in that time they’ve released a number of singles, as well as an EP last year. Yesterday they added a new song to their list of singles, but this time it’s a cover of Pitbull’s “Timber,” featuring Ke$ha. If I Ran The Zoo’s rendition of “Timber” is one that’s fun, and simple. The band didn’t try to change what the song was about or try to make it into something else entirely. There are some clean vocals as well as unclean, but neither overwhelm the other. If you like what you hear, you can pick it up on iTunes.
