Chance The Rapper Hospitalized, Cancels Coachella Performance

Chicago hip hop phenomenon Chance The Rapper was admitted to a Southern California hospital today and has since been forced to cancel his scheduled appearance at the second weekend of Coachella.

Using Chance’s official Twitter account, someone from the rapper’s management posted a series of messages this afternoon updating fans on the songwriter’s condition. “On behalf of @chancetherapper and our entire team- We sincerely regret to have to cancel our 2nd weekend at coachella,” his management wrote. “Chance fell ill on Friday night & was admitted to the hospital today- Doctors & family are with him & he is expected to make a full recovery. Thank you for the prayers and support during this time, Chance, his team and family deeply appreciate it.”

A photo of Chance lying in his hospital bed was also posted on the rapper’s Instagram account, but it has since been deleted. You can view the image below.

Chance has been touring the country steadily since the end of 2013, but as far as we know has not mentioned any health problems in recent weeks. We will continue to follow this story as it develops and bring you updates as new information becomes available.

Feel better, Chance. You’re on our minds and in our thoughts.
