Judas Priest Announce New Album, Stream First Single

Earlier today, Judas Priest sent the interwebs into a frenzy when they unexpectedly announced that their next studio album, Redeemer of Souls, will hit shelves across the US on July 15 through Epic Records. Check out the release’s first single by following the jump below.

This will be the outfit’s 17th full-length to date (LOL WUT?!), and their first since the 2008 concept album, Nostradamus, which peaked at No. 11 on the Billboard 200 chart. Additionally, this will also be the band’s first effort to feature guitarist Richie Faulkner, who joined the five-piece back in 2011. According to lead vocalist Rob Halford, Redeemer of Souls will be Judas Priest’s last album.

Though the group hasn’t strayed far from the path with this latest offering, “Redeemer of Souls” will almost certainly leave longtime fans brimming with excitement. Keep your eyes peeled for pre-orders in the months ahead, and comment below and let us know what you think!

Noooooo! Not the last album. Say it isn’t so. Maybe they’ll release digital only music in the future? I like the new track but it would have benefited from a professional producer. No offense Glen.
