Against Me!’s Laura Jane Grace Now Has Her Own Reality Show

Against Me!’s Laura Jane Grace has partnered with AOL for a new reality series documenting the singer’s life and other members of the trans community whose experiences are woefully underrepresented and misunderstood in the media. The name of the series of So Much More, and a preview/teaser episode can be viewed here.

Grace spent 31 years, in her own words, “pretending to be someone else.” She came out as a transgender woman in a 2012 issue of Rolling Stone and has since been very open about adjusting to her new life. So Much More will follow Grace on a month-long tour in support of Against Me!’s latest album (Transgender Dysphoria Blue), while also featuring the stories of others in the transgender community.

“I’ve met gender-variant people from all walks of life all at various points in their journey,” she said in a trailer for the series. “Hearing their stories and then being able to relate myself to it is what I need right now.”
