A third V/H/S film is (inevitably) underway, and we’ve been delivered a fair amount of information about it.
Entitled V/H/S Viral, the film “focuses on fame-obsessed teens who unwittingly become stars of the next internet sensation,” as reported by Screen Daily.
The directors involved for the threequel are Todd Lincoln (The Apparition), Nacho Vigalondo (Timecrimes), Marcel Sarmiento (Deadgirl), Gregg Bishop (Dance of the Dead), Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead (co-directors of Resolution), with a nod to Slashfilm for the most notable film from each director. The screenplay is credited to TJ Cimfel, Dave White, Lincoln, Vigalondo, Sarmimento, Bishop, Benson and Moorehead.
It’s a less notable slate than that of previous installments, but that makes the result all the more intriguing. The second film did better than the first; we’ll see if that trend continues with the third.
The image below is the first still from the film. Epic Pictures Group will commence sales in Cannes next month. Stay tuned for more updates on the horror franchise.
